V25-70 : BOWLS HALL AND HOTEL ACCOMMODATION, POTTERS HOLIDAY COMPLEX, COAST R
This item was taken as urgent business, under the statutory provision accorded to the Chairman, as the issue involved consultation from Great Yarmouth Borough Council needing an early reply. An application to extend Potters Holiday Complex at Hopton, had been received by Great Yarmouth Borough Council, a copy of which had been forwarded to this Authority for consultative purposes. The application proposed a two storey wing to provide hotel accommodation with approximately 35 bedrooms, single storey links to the existing main building, and an extension to treble the area of the existing Sports Hall, to provide Indoor Bowls and Conference facilities. The southern tree/hedge boundary running at a right angle to Coast Road was not breached in any way and there was no encroachment into the Strategic Gap ENV4 of the Waveney Local Plan. Twenty additional vehicle movements per day were anticipated, unlikely to adversely impact upon Coast Road. RESOLVED
That the Director of Planning and Building Control be authorised to reply raising no objection to the proposed plans at Potters Holiday Complex, Hopton.
