V25-692 : DISCRETIONARY HOME REPAIRS ASSISTANCE GRANT APPLICATION

The Sub-Committee refused an application for a Discretionary Home Repairs Assistance Grant for replacement windows, as the applicants were not in receipt of Income Support or 100% Council Tax Benefit, and had savings over the £3,000 threshold. The applicants had been informed that as the property's only water supply was a well, it would be eligible for a Renovation Grant, but did not wish to apply because of the disturbance this would cause them. In view of the water supply issue, the Sub-Committee resolved that a Deferred Action Notice be served on the property (Para. 5)
