Application for single and two storey rear extensions.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that this application was originally for a large two-storey rear extension to a detached house which was close to the neighbour to the west, who had objected to loss of light and outlook.

Negotiations had taken place to reduce the size and proximity of the extension and the application was now for a 5.1 m deep ground floor extension and a 2.7 m deep first floor extension. The extension would have a hipped roof and impact on the neighbour had been minimised. The neighbour still objected to the first floor extension, however the recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control was for approval.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W16779.
