Application for change of use to a golf driving range.

The recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control was for approval. The proposal complied with Policy OS9 of the adopted Waveney Local Plan, which referred to large scale recreational facilities in the countryside, and visual impact was acceptable. Care was needed however to minimise possible intrusion from floodlighting and signage.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W2055/6, subject to landscaping and control of floodlighting.
