V25-59 : W1265/7 - LAND ADJACENT TO 84 THE STREET, CARLTON COLVILLE
Application for the erection of 20 dwellings with all associated works. The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that this application was for two four- bedroomed houses, twelve three-bedroomed houses and six two-bedroomed houses, and there had been a number of objections to the proposal. The Parish Council had objected on the grounds of over-development of the site, backland terraces and an unfamiliar street scene for Carlton Colville. The Archaeological Society had also objected due to possible historic significance of the site. Other objections were concerned with the density of the development, scale and layout. The recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control was for deferral for a site meeting, at which a representative from the Archaeological Society would attend. Comments from the Water Authority should also be available by that time. RESOLVED
That a site meeting be held at the location of application W1265/7, and that attendance be authorised as an approved duty.
