Application for change of use from workshop to residential accommodation.

This application had been refused at the April 1997 meeting of Planning Sub-Committee No. 1. The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that the revised application included a slight amendment to the position of the new wing, which could greatly reduce the effect to the immediate neighbour and resolve a long-standing non-conforming use.

Ten surrounding neighbours were in favour of the application, with only one objection, and the recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control was for approval, although permitted development rights would be removed to prevent further alterations.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W3582/10, subject to the removal of permitted development rights.
