V25-53 : W6377/7 SITE ADJACENT TO SANDY CROFT, JERMYNS ROAD, REYDON

Application for new access drive to Caradius.

The Sub-Committee were reminded that a previous application for this site incorporating a dwelling and an access drive to Caradius had been refused.

The Director of Planning and Building Control advised that within this application the dwelling had been deleted and the drive's access onto Jermyns Road had now been moved six metre from the boundary to satisfy the Highway Authority's concerns regarding interference with the adjacent footpath; he recommended approval.

The Parish Council objected as it was felt a precedent would be set and there would be an adverse effect on the surrounding properties.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to an amended application W6377/7, subject to landscaping and tree protection.
