V25-505 : LOWESTOFT MANAGED WORKSHOP SCHEME

The Economic Development and Tourism Sub-Committee at its meeting on 25 June 1997 had considered a proposal for the development of a Managed Workshop Scheme for Lowestoft.

Suffolk County Council had asked the Council to participate in the scheme as a full partner by contributing one acre of land at the South Lowestoft Industrial Estate. A site had been identified on Pinbush Road and the estimated value was £80,000. As the Finance and Land Resources Sub- Committee was responsible for advising on the management of the Industrial Estate the recommendation to provide one acre of land for the scheme had to be made by this Sub- Committee.

RECOMMENDED

That one acre of serviced land at the South Lowestoft Industrial Estate be provided for the development of a Managed Workshop.
