V25-49 : W6605/2 24 ELLIOTT AVENUE, REYDON
Application for conversion of existing garage and utility room/store into disabled persons accommodation. The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that this proposal was to demolish an existing single storey outbuilding and garage in the rear garden to create a two storey dwelling for a disabled relative. He considered this to be out of character with the locality and recommended refusal as overdevelopment. The Parish Council's observation was also for refusal on the grounds of overdevelopment. The applicant had indicated that he was prepared to consider a proposal restricted to ground floor only. The Director felt a single storey extension could be acceptable. RESOLVED
That consideration of application W6605/2 be deferred for further negotiations with the applicant.
