Application for erection of lean-to to side of house for storage of coal and wood.

The recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control was for approval, as there were no planning objections to this retrospective application. However, the existing plastic roof was not acceptable in the conservation area, and a tiled roof with guttering to match the house would be appropriate. The Parish Council's observation was for refusal.

An adjoining neighbour had objected on matters of an existing boundary dispute and the safety of the construction. However, neither of these were planning issues. The Director of Housing and Environmental Services had been consulted, as the property was a Council house, and had raised no objection.

RESOLVED

1. That planning permission be granted to application W16323/1, subject to tile roofing and appropriate guttering.

2. That the Chief Executive be authorised to take any appropriate action in the event of non- compliance with the above roofing requirements.
