V25-405 : HALESWORTH CONSERVATION AREA - EXTENSIONS AND ARTICLE 4.2 DIRECTION

RESULT OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION EXERCISE

The Committee considered the report of the Director of Planning and Building Control which summarised responses received from residents in Halesworth to the above.

The ward member asked that the cottages described at the last paragraph of 3.1, to the south of the Old Dairy Buildings, remain as part of the Conservation Area. The Director of Planning and Building Control was happy with this amendment.

RESOLVED

1. That the Halesworth Conservation Area extensions be formally adopted subject to the amendments described in the report and the retention of the cottages south of Angel Link in the Conservation Area.

2. That the Article 4.2 Direction be adopted covering the following alterations to the front of houses in the Conservation area:

(a) Roofing materials (b) Wall finishes (c) Windows and doors (d) Chimneys (e) Front fences and walls (f) Rainwater goods/external plumbing (g) Prominent extensions/porches
