Application for erection of small boarding kennels.

The recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control was for refusal, as although this site was fairly isolated the use of a semi-detached property was likely to cause nuisance to the immediate neighbours. He had received a letter from the neighbour stating that there was no objection, although from a telephone conversation the neighbour had expressed noise concerns.

The Parish Council observation was for refusal, as the proposal was too large, a visual intrusion, would create adverse noise, and produce extra traffic. The Highways Authority, Environment Agency and Director of Housing and Environmental Services had all raised no objection.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W16761.
