Application for a change of use to garden retail and tool hire, including use of forecourt and extension of opening hours.

The recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control and Town Council was for approval of the change of use, but no extension of the hours of business of the tool hire. The new use did not appear to have created anticipated problems, the only drawback being the shortage of off-street parking. One neighbours objection on highway grounds was reported.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W1557/8, subject to approval for the change of use, but no extension to the hours of business of the tool hire element.
