Application for replacement garage doors.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that the steel doors proposed were inappropriate in the conservation area. It would be preferable to repair the existing traditional doors which were rotten at the bottom, however, an alternative metal door in a more traditional design may be acceptable.

The Sub-Committee were minded to refuse the application for modern, up-and-over doors, however, they were minded to approve an amended application for traditional design garage doors.

RESOLVED

That the Director of Planning and Building Control be given delegated authority to grant planning permission to an amended application W3151/1, with traditional design garage doors.
