V25-360 : W11585/1 - 67 WESTWOOD AVENUE, LOWESTOFT
USE OF FIRST FLOOR FLAT AS PRIVATE MEMBERS' CLUB
This application was refused at the May meeting of the Sub-Committee. It was noted that considerable internal and a small amount of external alteration had already taken place, preparing for the proposed use. It seemed highly likely, in view of this investment, that the use may actually commence, "sheltering" under an appeal against the refusal. Although there was as yet no appeal and no certainty of an unauthorised use commencing, members' authorisation of enforcement action including a Stop Notice was requested as a contingency measure. The potential for disturbance to residents and overloading of restricted parking provision was too great to rely on standard enforcement procedures. RESOLVED
That the Chief Executive be authorised to take all pursuant action, including an Enforcement Notice and Stop Notice, to require cessation of the private members' club at 67 Westwood Avenue, Lowestoft.
