Application for erection of detached house with garage.

The Director of Planning and Building Control informed members that this proposal had been amended and reduced from the original design, which was utterly unacceptable, but was still large with a dominant side application from the east.

Both neighbours were concerned with the proposal and the accuracy of the submitted block plan was queried. The Director had unsuccessfully attempted to obtain accurate plans from the applicants.

The Town Council observation was for refusal, as the proposal was over the building line and was too large in this location.

The Sub-Committee were not prepared to consider this application without an accurate plotted block design. It was also felt that the omission of one annex from the design would reduce the dominance of the large expanse of masonry when approaching from the east.

RESOLVED

That consideration of application W10876/4 be deferred, for an accurate plotted block design and amended design.
