V25-319 : W8287/9 - SITE ADJACENT TO ST ANDREWS CHURCH, HAWARD STREET, LOWESTO

Application for the construction of a terrace of five no houses, approval of Reserved Matters W8287/6.

This application had been refused at the April meeting of Planning Sub-Committee No. 1 due to the development being out of character with the street scene and amendments to meet car parking standards resulting in small properties.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that the layout and design of the application had been amended to provide ten parking spaces and a better street scene, and his recommendation was for approval.

Councillors were concerned that, although the size of the application had been reduced, there were still five houses proposed, which they felt to be too much on this site.

RESOLVED

That consideration of application W8287/9 be deferred for further consultations concerning the number of houses.
