V25-26 : PLAY AREA AT BONDS MEADOW, GORLESTON ROAD, LOWESTOFT

Amended plans had been received by the Director of Planning and Building Control proposing the erection of 3 metre high chain link fencing around a section of the existing play areas. This area had been provided with play equipment for young children, and there was no formal provision for older children. The erection of fencing would enable a kickabout area to be provided.

Neighbours had been consulted and one letter of objection had been received from residents claiming that they already suffered from noise and abuse and feared that this would get worse if older children used the play area. However, it was not possible to restrict the use of the play area and the proposed fence should help to contain footballs etc within the site.

RESOLVED

That the Director of Planning and Building Control be authorised to approve the plans as an amendment to W2531/10.
