V25-216 : THE HOUSING REGISTER - REVIEW OF DECISIONS
Members were reminded that if a Local Authority decided not to put a person on the housing register, or to remove a person from the register, they must notify them of their decision and the reasons for it. The person had the right to ask for a review of the decision, which should be carried out by a person of appropriate seniority not involved in the original decision. RESOLVED
That the Director of Housing and Environmental Services be given delegated authority to review decisions to not put a person on the housing register, or to remove a person from the register, any decision being reported for information to the next appropriate meeting of this Sub Committee. *Policy Decision.
