V25-211 : DANGEROUS BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES OR FACILITIES

PAYMENT OF A DISCRETIONARY RENOVATION GRANT

The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services which proposed an amendment to recent policy adopted regarding payment of a Discretionary Renovation Grant to rectify a dangerous building, structure or facility.

RESOLVED

That Policy 1(f) of the adopted policies for payment of Discretionary Renovation Grants be amended to read:

"Delegated authority be given to the Director of Housing and Environmental Services, in prior consultation with the Chairmen of the Housing and Environmental Services Committee and Housing Sub-Committee. (i) to approve a Discretionary Renovation Grant to rectify a wholly Dangerous or potentially dangerous building structure or facility

(ii) to approve a Discretionary Renovation Grant to rectify a partially dangerous or potentially dangerous and partially non dangerous building structure or facility

in each case the payment of a Discretionary Renovation Grant being the most appropriate course of action and in each case subject to report to the following meeting of the Housing Sub-Committee for confirmation of action taken".
