V25-205 : DISCRETIONARY RENOVATION GRANT

This item was taken as urgent business, under the statutory provision accorded to the Chairman, as the application had been held up by an incorrect tender.

The Sub-Committee resolved that the present application under the former 1989 Act be refused, and an application under the new Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, be invited. The applicant was to be informed that in this case the most appropriate course of action would be likely approval, subject to nomination rights to the property for this Council. Such an application was delegated to the Director of Housing and Environmental Services to approve. The minutes of the last meeting were confirmed as a correct record and signed. (Para. 5)
