V25-166 : LIGHTWEIGHT AMATEUR BOXING CHAMPIONSHIP

Mr Mark Hawthorne, a member of Lowestoft Amateur Boxing Club, had recently become the 1997 British ABA Lightweight Champion. In recognition of this success the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Chairman, authorised the purchase of a tankard to be presented to Mr Hawthorne as a tribute to his achievements. Mr Colin Stephenson, his trainer, was also presented with a framed scroll in recognition of his service to the community in training youngsters in the sport of boxing.

RESOLVED

That the action of the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Chairman, in authorising the purchase of a tankard and framed scroll in recognition of the achievements of Mr Mark Hawthorne and Mr Colin Stephenson, be confirmed.
