V25-164 : EXTENSION TO WRENTHAM CEMETERY

The Director of Community Services reported that the Council purchased 1.5 acres of land for a future extension to Wrentham Cemetery on 14 March 1994.

Planning permission for this use was obtained on 24 November 1993 subject to the provision of a footpath between the burial ground and the churchyard, a fence and tree planting to screen the adjoining area and landscape works.

It was the duty of the burial authority to arrange for consecration of a cemetery according to the rites of the Church of England.

RESOLVED

That the Council petition for the consecration of land at Wrentham Cemetery.
