V25-1609 : RENEWAL OF LATE NIGHT REFRESHMENT HOUSE LICENCES

The report of the Chief Executive listed six applications for renewal of Late Night Refreshment House Licences which would expire on 31 March 1998. No adverse comments had been received from Environmental Health and the Police.

An application for a new licence had also been received from McDonalds Restaurants for new drive-thru premises at Arbor Lane, Pakefield. The licence would expire on 31 March in line with other premises, and authority was sought for the Chief Executive to renew the Licence from 1 April 1998 subject to no objections from the Police and Environmental Health.

RECOMMENDATIONS

1. That the late night refreshment house licences, for the following premises be renewed from 1 April 1998 for the ensuing year on the terms sought:

Golden House Fish & Chips 1am closing
49 Earsham Street, Bungay
Carlton Fish Restaurant 12 midnight closing
174-176 London Road South, Lowestoft
McDonalds Hamburgers 11pm closing
Station Square, Lowestoft
Waveney Leisure Centre 1am closing
Water Lane, Lowestoft
Southern Fried Chicken & 12 midnight closing
Manhatten Pizza
38 Bridge Road, Oulton Broad
Safeway Stores Plc 12 midnight
A12 Church Road, Gisleham.

2. That the Chief Executive be given delegated authority to approve the Late Night Refreshment House Licence with hours of operation to 11 pm as from 1 April 1998 for McDonalds Restaurant, Arbor Lane, Pakefield, Lowestoft.
