V25-1568 : WELLINGTON GARDENS RESTORATION WORKS
The report of the Director of Community Services and Director of Planning and Building Control detailed a proposal to restore Wellington Gardens and provide a three year programme of planting, using a combination of external funding and leisure maintenance revenue budgets. The Planning and Transportation Committee also considered this report at its meeting on 3 March 1998, and approved the recommendations. RESOLVED
1. That the details of the scheme for restoration of Wellington Gardens set out in the report of the Director of Planning and Building Control and Director of Community Services be accepted for negotiation with the Trustees, public consultation and commissioning the relevant areas of the scheme for public art works. * Affects the Services of more than one Committee.
2. That the staff and revenue maintenance funding be committed as set out in the report to enable the three year planting scheme to proceed. 3. That a renewal of the existing Lease of Wellington Gardens be negotiated with the Trustees. * Commitment of Forward Budget and
