V25-1565 : LOWESTOFT IN BLOOM

The report of the Director of Community Services reminded members that minute V25-852 agreed to give consideration to a further contribution to the Lowestoft In Bloom Committee on receipt of some guidance on what projects the funding would assist with.

The Committee had identified four projects which they would like to allocate £750 of the grant monies to, and should further funding be given above this figure they would promote and support planting schemes in areas such as The Triangle. The extra funding would also help the Committee form partnerships with local businesses and enhance any floral projects planned. Good quality publicity material would also be produced to encourage participation in their Competitions and positively promote Lowestoft.

RESOLVED

That Lowestoft In Bloom be offered a further £1700 towards its work to improve the town and its community, to be met from within existing budgets.
