V25-1562 : WAVENEY SPORTS AWARDS
The report of the Director Community Services provided details of the first Waveney Sports Awards Ceremony which was held in February 1998. The scheme was very well received and it was anticipated that the Awards would be developed in future years as an important recognition of both the sporting talent in Waveney and the contribution to sport that was made by so many individuals on a voluntary basis. RESOLVED
1. That the Waveney Sports Awards become an annual event in the District Calendar. 2. That the support of the Lowestoft Journal and Juler Sports be warmly acknowledged.
