V25-1560 : PROPOSED LOCAL NATURE RESERVE, BIRDS FOLLY, HALESWORTH

REPAIRS TO OLD RAILWAY BRIDGE

The report of the Director Community Services considered an opportunity to restore the old railway bridge at Birds Folly, Halesworth and reduce the risk of an accident. It was suggested that access to the bridge be fenced off to allow time for funding to be obtained through the application of Leader II funding.

RESOLVED

That Leader II funding be applied for to carry out the full restoration of the disused railway bridge at Birds Folly, and in the short term access to the top of the bridge be stopped.
