V25-1554 : IMPROVING LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICES IN SUFFOLK

LEISURE AND TOURISM

The report of the Director of Community Services considered a draft report by Suffolk District and County Tourism and Leisure Services heads concerning possible improvements in Leisure and Tourism Local Government Services. The views of elected representatives were required before finalising the report.

As nominations to the elected Members Panel were requested by 13 February 1998, the Director of Community Services nominated the Chairman to represent the Council.

RESOLVED

1. That the action of the Director of Community Services, in consultation with the Chairman, in submitting Councillor Kelly as the Council's nomination to the Specialist Members Panel to consider the draft report on improving leisure and tourism local government services in Suffolk, be confirmed.

2. That if appointed, attendance be authorised as an approved duty.
