V25-1537 : BUILDING CONTROL: LANTAC PARTNER AUTHORITY SCHEME

AMENDMENT TO INDEMNITY RESOLUTION

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control informed members that the LANTAC organisation was established in 1987 to provide a framework whereby companies which designed standard building types could obtain a rational type approval. A further initiative was the Partner Authority Scheme, where national companies had the option of using a single contact authority to check their plans for work anywhere in the county.

The Local Government Association had obtained legal advice that it was necessary to amend the existing indemnity resolution, adopted by this Council at minute V22-329/11, to specifically include the new Partner Authority Scheme.

RESOLVED

That the amended LANTAC Indemnity Resolution be adopted.
