V25-1534 : LOWESTOFT PACKAGE

The report of the Director of Community Services informed members that as part of the County Council's Transport Settlement the Government had awarded £300,000 towards implementation of the Lowestoft Package, double that allocated for 1997/98.

Officers were working with County colleagues to put together a programme of work for implementation. It was envisaged that this programme would be put to the Lowestoft Partnership meeting on 3 April 1998 for approval.

RESOLVED

1. That the increased funding made available for the Lowestoft Package be welcomed.

2. That the next Lowestoft Package submission be prepared and the Chairman and Vice- Chairman be consulted as work progresses.
