Application for construction of covered loading bay.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported the outcome of the site meeting. Most issues had been addressed, but the main problem area of the rear loading bay facing Denmark Road had still not been resolved. He suggested that any refusal should be Referred by Motion to Planning and Transportation Committee in view of any employment implications as the application would bring an additional 15 jobs. The observation of the Town Council was for refusal. Twelve letters of objection and one of support were noted.

Members felt that with one more meeting this Council year there was still room for manoeuvre with the application before referral to Planning and Transportation Committee.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W338/35.
