V25-1513 : W1543/5 - THE CARAVAN SITE, CLARKES LANE, ILKETSHALL ST ANDREW

Application for the construction of two detached houses and garages.

The recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control was for refusal as the proposal would be contrary to Policy V3 of the adopted Waveney Local Plan, development in the open countryside.

The site had a permission for two caravans personal to the owners that did not expire until 2000. The applicants had also pointed out that until 1955 there had been a dwelling on the site which was subsequently demolished. The observation of the Parish Council was for refusal. Neighbours had favoured the development rather than the existing caravan or business use.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W1543/5.
