V25-1498 : W1125/53 - PLEASUREWOOD HILLS THEME PARK, CORTON

Application for extension of opening hours until 7pm for four weeks in August 1998.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that, although 11 objections and one letter of support had been received, the case for a single extra hour for four weeks at the peak of the holiday season at the biggest tourist attraction in Waveney was inescapable. His recommendation was for approval, with the use of PA system, trains, rattlesnake roller coaster and castle theatre being prohibited during this extra hour.

A revised application for the extra hour to be for the entirety of the school summer holidays would be re-advertised in due course.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to existing application W1125/53, subject to the use of the PA system, trains, rattlesnake roller coaster and castle theatre being prohibited during the extra hour.
