V25-1478 : W16827/2 - PLOTS 1-13 MARKET LANE, BLUNDESTON

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control reminded the Sub-Committee that at minute V25/583 planning permission was granted for the demolition of two cottages and the erection of 13 dwellings, which involved the construction of a segregated footpath fronting plots 1-3 of the development. The applicants now wished to relocate the footpath to the immediate west of Market Lane, primarily as this would make conveyancing of the individual plots easier.

The report considered the merits of the proposals and concluded that on both visual and safety grounds the segregated footpath was the preferred solution.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to the variation of Condition 2 of W16827/2 on grounds regarding visual amenity and highway safety.
