Application for change of use to guest house.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that this site was within an area where Policy H14 discouraged change of use to house in multiple occupation (HMO) or self contained flats. The applicant was partially sighted and intended to open a guest house for blind and partially sighted clients. The application met all the normal policies except for the possible future conversion to use as an HMO, but as the application was for specific use as guest house, the Director recommended approval subject to tourism use only.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W8339/1, subject to use only as a guest house.
