V25-142 : GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICE - ANNUAL REPORT 1996/97

The Committee considered report of the Director of Community Services which outlined performance of the Grounds Maintenance Service during 1996/97.

The Grounds Maintenance Service's Pledge Leaflet was circulated at the meeting. Councillors considered that with vandalism becoming an ever increasing problem both for this service and the previous item on Street Cleansing, the advice to telephone the Police should be considered a 999 number priority, not the Halesworth Divisional Police number as listed.

The report was also to be considered at the meeting of the Community Services Committee on 15 May 1997.

RESOLVED

That the employees in the Contracts Management Section, Community Services Department and Waveney Contract Services be congratulated on the standards of service provided.
