V25-140 : BRIDGE ROAD, OULTON BROAD - PROPOSED TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

The Committee considered the report of the Director of Community Services which outlined issues debated at a public meeting following objections to the above.

Members were minded to approve the first three recommendations of the report, regarding the modification of the order to accommodate additional limited waiting spaces in the vicinity of Ivy Farm Dairy, the date of operation of the order from 1 May to 31 September and confirmation of the modified order.

It was proposed that recommendation four be modified to read "that a concessionary ticket with a fee of £80 per annum be introduced for the benefit of residents of the houses affected by the Traffic Regulation Order, for use on the Car Parks in the vicinity of Bridge Road."

The Director of Central Services, whilst not wishing to deny the concession, asked that the matter be deferred to allow detailed costings of potential loss of income to be produced.

RESOLVED

That decision on modifications to the Traffic Regulation Order for Bridge Road, Lowestoft, be deferred for the report of the Director of Central Services on cost implications to Car Parking to be brought to the next meeting of the Committee.
