V25-1373 : TRADING ACCOUNTS 1997/98 - MONITORING
The report of the Director of Waveney Contract Services set out the 1997/98 trading position as at the end of December 1997. The year end forecast figures had been reviewed and showed a very similar overall position to that of the last forecast. The Highways account was still forecast to make a surplus of £20k. However, the mild wet weather so far this winter was likely to reduce the income from winter maintenance, a valuable contribution to the account in the past. As at the end of December 1997, with the exception of Vehicle Maintenance, all the Statutory Trading Accounts were forecast to make a surplus. RESOLVED
That the monitoring report on Trading Accounts 1997/98 be received.
