V25-1360 : ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP AUDIT

The report of the Director of Central Services outlined the audit carried out on the Council's approach to its Environmental Stewardship, as initiatived by the Audit Commission.

An in depth review for the following areas was recommended and these would be included in the Council's Audit Plan and a full report would be available by the end of the year:

(a) Energy Management
(b) Water Management
(c) Waste Management
(d) Energy efficiency in residential accommodation
(e) Management arrangements and strategy.

RESOLVED

That in depth reviews of the areas identified by the Audit Commission be included in the Internal Audit Service's Audit Plans for 1998/9 and 1999/2000.
