V25-1356 : REVENUE BUDGET 1998/99
The report of the Director of Central Services presented the draft revenue budget for the Committee's General Fund services. The 1997/98 revised budget showed a saving of £87k from the original budget for that year. The Director drew attention to a £68k saving on Housing Benefit, which was unlikely to be an ongoing situation. The 1998/99 budget showed a saving of £38k on the 1997/98 original budget figures. The Committee also reviewed grant provisions and fees and charges levels for 1998/99. Grant applications from COSH, DIAL, the Lowestoft Weekend Contact Centre and SCOPE would be referred to more applicable Suffolk County Council sources. RESOLVED
1. That the revised 1997/98 budget for the Housing and Environmental Services Committee's services be approved. 2. That the draft 1998/99 budget for the Housing and Environmental Services Committee's services be approved for adoption by Policy and Resources Committee. 3. That the grants and donations to outside bodies as set out in Appendix A to the minutes be approved.
