V25-1352 : PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT LICENCES
NEW YEAR'S EVE
The report of the Chief Executive outlined applications from the Mutford and Rushmere Village Hall, Fortrey Heap Hall and Wangford Community Centre to extend their Annual Public Entertainment Licences to finish at 1.00 am for functions held on New Year's Eve. No objections had been received from the Police, Environmental Health and the Parish Councils. Members were reminded that these licenses were usually a formality and due to this it was requested that the Chief Executive be given delegated authority to issue any further New Year's Eve applications from village halls subject to no objections being received. Any abnormal applications would still be brought to members' attention. RESOLVED
1. That the applications to extend the Public Entertainment Licences to 1.00 am on 1 January 1998 be approved for Mutford and Rushmere Village Hall, Fortrey Heap Hall and Wangford Community Centre. 2. That in accordance with the Local Government Act 1972 Section 101 the Chief Executive be given delegated authority to approve applications received from village halls for New Year's Eve subject to no objections being received.
