V25-1329 : SPECIAL NEEDS GRASS CUTTING SCHEME 1998
The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services reminded members of the Special Needs Grass Cutting Scheme which had been in operation since 1991. In 1997 a total of 38 tenants benefitted from the service, which was still below the average number of 53, over the previous three years. The service was valued by those receiving it, and contributed to the standard of the estates. RESOLVED
1. That the Special Needs Grass Cutting Service be continued for 1998 and £6,000 be allocated to purchase services from Waveney Contract Services. * Commitment of forward budget
2. That the service be generally restricted to front gardens, and any underspend of the budget utilised to tidy up other areas identified as causing management problems.
