V25-1327 : LIFT WORK AT ST. PETERS COURT, LOWESTOFT
The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services informed of urgent work required to prevent a hazardous situation for engineers working on the St. Peters Court lift shaft had been agreed by the Council's insurers to conform with British Standards. The work was commissioned in August 1997 at a cost of £2458 which would be absorbed within the responsive repairs servicing budget. Tenants were consulted in November 1997 and agreement reached to commence the work on 12 January 1998, on four consecutive Mondays to minimise disruption. RESOLVED
That a shaft screen be fitted to the lifts at St. Peters Court, Lowestoft at a cost of £2458 to be met from existing budgets.
