V25-1326 : GAS SERVICING AND REPAIR CONTRACT

The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services reminded members that at minute V25-250, the Gas Servicing and Repair Contract was extended to January 1998 to allow documentation to be prepared, whilst prices would be held by the Contractor at the 1993 rates.

Members were asked to further extend the contract, allowing additional time to prepare the contract documentation, whilst taking advantage of the competitive 1993 rates for a further six months. The financial value of the contract permitted such and had the approval of the Chief Internal Auditor.

RESOLVED

That an extension of the existing Gas Servicing and Repair Contract to 1 June 1998 be approved.
