V25-1288 : ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION AND PREVENTION SCHEMES 1998/99
The report of the Director of Community Services identified a number of sites worthy of investigation for the Accident Investigation and Prevention schemes, which aimed to reduce road traffic accidents through the introduction of low cost engineering measures. Each site would be investigated and from the results, a bid put forward to Suffolk County Council promoting one or more schemes for 1998/99. RESOLVED
That the identification, investigation and promotion of the following possible Accident Investigation and Prevention sites for the 1998/99 financial year be endorsed: (a) St Peter Street, Lowestoft, between Water Lane and Burton Street. (b) St Johns Road/Mill Road junction.
(c) Carlton Road/Newark Road junction.
(d) Kendal Road/Wilson Road junction.
(e) Gordon Road, outside the Bus Station.
(f) Elm Tree Road/Cotmer Road roundabout.
