V25-1287 : ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION AND PREVENTION SCHEME 1997/98

BRIDGE ROAD, LOWESTOFT

The report of the Director of Community Services detailed proposals for remedial works to improve the accident record at Bridge Road, Lowestoft between its junction with the Wherry roundabout and Oulton Broad North level crossing. These works were part of the ongoing Accident Investigation and Prevention programme and Suffolk County Council had allocated funds for 1997/98.

The Chief Executive advised that the entrance/egress problem to the Golden Court area was not an adopted highway and any measures would not be compulsory. However, co-operation from the Broadland Hotel would be sought.

RESOLVED

That the Accident Remedial Works at Bridge Road, Lowestoft be carried out as part of the Accident Investigation and Prevention programme.
