V25-1259 : LEISURE REVENUE GRANTS

The report of the Director of Community Services assessed the Leisure Revenue Grant applications for the financial year 1998/99. There was an available budget of £72,750 and it was proposed that £68,245 be allocated initially and the remaining £4,505 held in reserve for any applications received during the year.

The Director of Community Services reported that this would be the last occasion that Leisure Revenue Grants would be presented to the Committee in this format, following decisions made at minute V25-1077.

Concerning the grant to the Lowestoft Lifeguards of £600 for the purchase of a piece of equipment, Councillor R. Carter asked that the Lifeguards be invited to submit an application for the second piece of equipment later in the year if they found it to be essential.
