V25-1212 : W14219/4 - NORTHERN SPINE ROAD PHASES 3 AND 4 - AMENDMENTS

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that following representations arising from the last meeting, the County Council had modified the proposals for the above application.

The modifications were detailed by the Director, and had addressed most of the concerns of Langdale Park residents. Residents of Somerleyton Road and Oulton Road, however, were still concerned at the provision of the junction. The application had been amended to mitigate the impact of the junction arrangements in this area by lowering the road and including landscaping, thus reducing noise levels.

Members felt that whilst most issues had been addressed by the modified proposals, there were still issues such as the isolation of the shopping parade in Snape Drive to be addressed. Clearly though resolution was needed for the go ahead in principle. The public could be re-assured that the other issues would be addressed when the next stage of the application process arrived.

RESOLVED

That Suffolk County Council be informed that this Council raises no objection to the suggested amendments to application W14219/4.
