Application for conversion of a shop to flat.

This application had been refused at the 3 March 1997 meeting of the Sub-Committee as the proposal for two flats did not meet the Council's standards for private amenity space, internal layout, natural daylighting and parking.

The present application was for one flat and demolition of the rear extension to provide amenity space. There had been no objections, although the Access Officer had suggested accessibility improvements to the flat. The Director of Planning and Building Control felt that lack of a parking space would be offset by loss of shop traffic; he recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W13253/2.
